The book is a PolishEnglish edition of a 15th century hymn by Władysław from Gielniów based on the oldest printed edition, 1558. The book includes a reproduction of a printed original of one of the extant manuscripts and a transcription of the text. The publication also has a set of electronically processed photographs of the Stations of the Cross from the village of Królówka near Bochnia. The sculptures are the work of Bronisław Chromy. Their unusually touching character corresponds to the severe theme of Władysław's hymn.
