The book consists of 46 spacious reports from penal proceedings conducted in front of Wiśnicz Courts of Law in the years 1629–1665. Each of the reports, besides the information on the composition of the bench includes: the text of the charge followed by the defendant’s response, testimonies of the witnesses, testimony of the defendant obtained by means of tortures (if applied), defendant’s testimony after the completion of torture, and eventually the sentence with a brief note on its execution.
